A camera crew is shooting footage on the local fire brigade. When the firemen have to get into action in the middle of the night to liberate an elderly lady from her apartment the camera is there to film every single step. At first it is unclear what's going on but they quickly discover that they've landed in a complete and utter hell. [Rec] has been master-minded ingeniously, with Blair-Witch-like quality. Everything has been recorded with one camera, nearly turning the camera into one of the main characters.
Winner of, among others, the award given by the public in the Amsterdam Fantastic Film festival.
